Human Culture is Gabe Blair. His songs are strongly influenced by dreams and nature.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Gabe played in bands starting at age 12. In 2000, he moved to Brooklyn, formed a rock quartet and founded Unsound Records to release his band’s album and the work of other artists.

After relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 2006, Gabe formed a psych-rock trio and released an album in 2009, followed by a 2012 collaborative project with his brother. Following a decade-long hiatus to focus on family, Gabe returned to songwriting in 2024, crafting a new collection of songs through an oldschool barter relationship with songwriter Laura Veirs (Gabe provided tech support). His latest album, the self-titled Human Culture, forges new musical territory and explores the nature of family, love, and human nature.
